introduces QuikTrac®5.0 Adrian, Michigan - Integrated Barcoding Systems (IBS), a leading solutions provider of data collection technology and services, today announced the release of QuikTrac® 5.0. The new screen integration tool allows I Series users to extend their ERP/MRP applications out to their warehouse or shop floor without modifications to their existing host code or interfacing into their system’s database. QuikTrac® 5.0 allows AS 400 users to take their existing I Series applications and map them down to a wireless fixed or portable data collection device. This functionality enables users to interact with their ERP/MRP software from a remote location in real-time, without costly and long-term modifications to the host. QuikTrac® 5.0’s new Off Line Data Collection module allows users to continue to collect and store data while the connection or host is down. Systems help Meridian Automotive role three ERP solutions into one. Meridian Automotive had recently completed acquisition of two automotive suppliers and was in the process of moving them all over to Mapics on the I Series over the next few years. What they needed to be was be able to get their data collection and shipping information to be able to talk with Mapics, BPCS, and Brain shipping and receiving. QuikTrac® 5.0 was able to take all three I Series ERP solutions and bring them under one data collection solution without any custom code or special programming. “QuikTrac® has allowed us to integrate our three solutions without any programming” said Bruce Knoll of Meridian Automotive. “Without QuikTrac®, we would have had to maintain multiple systems and it would have created a support nightmare maintaining them while we were upgrading our plants to Mapics.” Meridian Automotive systems plans to continue to add plants to the QuikTrac® system to the point that the QuikTrac® 5.0 server will be running all 34 of their plants. Systems wins Paccar Winch Contract Paccar Winch was looking for a way to replace their existing batch data collection system and integrate it with their I Series application. “We needed a fast and simple way to take our existing screens out to where the data collection was taken place” Said Rick Gilbert, IS director at Paccar. “I looked at QuikTrac® 5.0 from Integrated Barcoding Systems and knew that we could get this up and running within a few weeks without any special programming.” Integrated Barcoding Systems implemented their QuikTrac® 5.0 suite of data collection along with ten Intermec 2435 terminals at Broken Arrow. “We were able to go onsite and give Rick and his team a live demo to their host and show them how fast and simple it would be to extend their I Series screens using the QuikTrac® 5.0 product.” said Andy Jacobs, President of Integrated Barcoding Systems. “Being able to map their transactions while they watched showed how simple it would be for Paccar to take over the project and maintain it once we were done with the training. The benefit of using the
QuikTrac® 5.0 system
along with Intermec hardware reduces the time lag between when data is
collected on the floor and when it was being uploaded later in the day.
We are now able to track our inventory and production immediately. We
have reduced the amount of time our supervisors were spending looking
for production products and reviewing employee time cards. Integrated

Integrated Barcoding Systems wins Label supply contract for Mallinckrodt Pharmacies nationwide. June 10, 2002 Mallinckrodt, a supplier of medical drugs to hospitals nationwide needed a simple way to keep everyone of their 42 pharmacies with label and ribbons. Each of their pharmacies needed to keep their own supply of labels and ribbons, but no pharmacy had a place that they could purchase their supplies from. “Every pharmacy was doing their own thing until we were able to standardize on one supplier with the right label” said Wayne Snyder of Mallinckrodt. “ If a pharmacy ever runs out of labels and ribbons, they are shut down. Integrated Barcoding Systems put together a plan that includes a blanket order of label kits, which each pharmacy can order from. Integrated Barcoding Systems keeps an ongoing supply of label kits on hand to fulfill all orders that are place. “Making sure that Mallinckrodt will never be without labels is the most important job,” said Andy Jacobs. Mallinckrodt is now able to standardize on one label and one supplier. Not having to worry about ordering labels and ribbons will save Mallinckrodt pharmacies hours and free up needed storage space. JD Edwards QuikTrac®
Solution Installed in Two Days!!!! United Aerospace wanted a quick and simple data collection solution for their JD Edwards WorldSoftware. After reviewing the larger JD Edwards data collection solutions for inventory and receiving, they were discouraged by the high quoted costs and long implementation times. Louis and Andy presented a QuikTrac® /Intermec solution that would have them up and running within 2 days at a fraction of the cost of the larger solutions. United Aerospace can now accurately capture their data and add to their existing system without changes to the host or long delays. Integrated
Barcoding Systems and Intermec win BorgWarner Deal! IBS installed Intermec handheld terminals and the 2100 Access Point. IBS configured the handhelds, installed two QuikTrac® modules, created two screens, trained their staff and configured and hung the Access Point in TWO days. Because QuikTrac® is so easy to use, it allows customers to maintain control of their system without undue strain on their staff. BorgWarner has purchased a copy of the QuikTrac® Development Module so they can add additional transactions as they grow. Integrated Barcoding
